Job description: We have two opportunities for an Accounts Senior and an Accounts Manager to join our team. Both opportunities are likely to be at our Wigan office, though consideration would be given to candidates preferring a Bolton location. 

The positions are for full-time, permanent positions, working 35 hours per week and the work will involve the following:

Accounts Senior (£30-£35k):

·To assist the directors by preparing statutory accounts under FRS 105 and FRS 102, as well as accounts for sole traders and partnerships.

·To prepare personal tax returns and corporation tax returns for our clients, as well as occasional other compliance work.

·To liaise with clients to handle their queries and ensuring all deadlines are met, so that our clients feel confident in their financial position.

·To handle client queries as they arise.

·Other accounts and tax- related tasks as required from time to time.

Key skills required for Accounts Senior role:

·AAT qualification

·Minimum 12 months working within a firm of accountants in practice

·Good working knowledge of Xero is essential, use of other accounting software is desirable 

·Good working knowledge of CCH is advantageous

·Good working knowledge and use of Excel 

·Must be able to think clearly and deliver quickly and accurately

·Able to work to deadlines

·Ability to work effectively alone and as part of a team

Accounts Manager (£40-£50k):

·As well as the above tasks, the role will include the supervision and training of other staff to ensure deadline are met and clients receive the best possible service.

·Much of the role will involve liaising with clients and potential clients, so excellent interpersonal skills are key for this role. 

Key skills required for Accounts Manager role, in addition to those above:

·Must be qualified to at least AAT standard and ideally be ICAEW or ACCA qualified. Exceptional candidates who are qualified by experience would also be considered

·Minimum 3 years working within a firm of accountants in practice
