Summary

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Officer to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining accurate financial records related to receivables. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the company’s cash flow and supporting financial health.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
  • Generate and send accurate account statements.
  • Follow up on overdue payments via phone and email.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Process and allocate incoming payments accurately in the accounting system.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and billing information.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or disputes in a professional manner.
  • Prepare and submit regular aging reports and AR status summaries to management.
  • Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to resolve account issues.
  • Assist with internal and external audits related to accounts receivable.
  • Implement and improve credit control procedures as needed.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.


Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Odoo) will be a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
