Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to oversee the organization's billing and collections processes. This long-term contract position, based in Andover, Massachusetts, offers a dynamic opportunity to manage financial operations, optimize workflows, and lead a dedicated team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in accounts receivable activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of invoice processing, ensuring timely issuance and accuracy of billing documentation.
- Oversee collections efforts, including following up on overdue payments, negotiating payment plans, and referring accounts to collection agencies when necessary.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including aging summaries and performance forecasts, on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Investigate and resolve customer disputes or discrepancies related to payments and invoicing in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable financial regulations throughout all accounts receivable processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts receivable function and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead and mentor the accounts receivable team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows and address cross-functional financial concerns.
Requirements
- Proficiency in CRM and ERP systems, with the ability to navigate and utilize these tools effectively.
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes, including billing and collections functions.
- Experience handling cash activity and related financial transactions with precision and integrity.
- Demonstrated ability to manage billing collections and negotiate payment terms.
- Familiarity with credit and collections procedures, including risk assessment and decision-making.
- Excellent analytical skills to prepare and interpret financial reports and forecasts.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities to manage teams and coordinate across departments.
- A thorough understanding of compliance standards and regulations related to accounts receivable.
