StaffBright is seeking a diligent and motivated AP/AR Specialist to join the team with one of our clients in the Metro Detroit area. This is a contract position with intent to convert to direct hire, but no set timeline or guarantees. The ideal candidate will possess a skillset and background in both AP and AR, along with a comprehensive understanding of financial concepts. 

What You Will Be Doing

• Support AP/AR function for the organization
  
• Collaborate with and support both the Controller and CFO
  
• Process invoices, payments, and verify financial data within the accounting system
  
• Reconcile accounts and ensure compliance across all parties
  
• Handle customer/vendor relations and basic inquiries around financial information via phone and email
  
  
  

  
  
  What We Need From You

  
  
  

  To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills:

  
  
  
  
  
  • Associate's Degree with desire to complete Bachelor's Degree, or completed Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
    
  • 2+ years of experience in an AP/AR role (experience with both is highly preferred)
    
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
    
  • Demonstrated ability to own the AP/AR function in an independent and autonomous structure
    
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
