Summary

Ledgent Finance and Accounting has a prominent construction company near the Hew Hope area needing to add to their Accounts Payable team! If you are seeking a new challenge or grow your career then this is the job for you!

  • Pay: $30/hr-$34/hr
  • Mon-Fri 8am-5pm (flexible)
  • ASAP Start
  • Contract to hire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, code, and process invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices, expense reports, and credit card transactions.

  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.

  • Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries related to payment status and account balances.

  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and reporting.

  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.

  • Support audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.

  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounts payable systems and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred).

  • 4+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
