Position Summary

We’re seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join our rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience processing financial transactions related to payments, as well as experience with Concur expense reimbursements. This individual must be able to function effectively in a dynamic environment with little supervision and be passionate about joining a fast-paced, mission-driven organization.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Assist Senior Manager Accounting Operations in determining the direction the department should take and creating action plans to realize those goals and develop business processes that create efficiency and reduce costs
  • Recommend appropriate process improvements and/or financial systems enhancements and gain support and sponsorship from key leaders
  • Take lead role in Direct Spend AP Processing, including working with Operations department, maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring timely and effective processing and payment of invoices
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors including regular follow up with project managers and vendors regarding payments.
  • Research and resolve aged vendor invoices to preserve the accuracy of the Accounts Payable Aging report and General Ledger
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting by AP team of W-8’s/ W-9s, certificates of insurance, along with ensuring accurate 1099 filings
  • Assist in development of AP staff through effective performance management and ongoing feedback, focusing on delegation for stretch assignments, growing and developing the team for capacity and growth, looking at performance across the team, and time management
  • Shape the culture of the team through action, presence, and reinforcement of behaviors
  • Assist with account reconciliations as needed

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting processing accounts payable, with 2 years leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Strong knowledge of Coupa and Coupa pay mandatory, (Coupa implementation experience preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel (v-lookups and pivots) and Concur
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and clearly communicate cross-functionally, at all levels of the organization
  • Innovative, resilient, fact-based and creative solutions-focused mindset, with ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a rapidly changing collaborative environment
  • Excellent judgment, attention to detail, relationship management, and problem-solving abilities; demonstrated ability to earn credibility and influence opinion leaders

Salary range: $98,352 - $120,000 [Annual Base Salary]

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
