About the role:

\n

\n

As Accounts Payable Manager, you will assist with leading the dedicated AP team across multiple global locations.

\n

\n

This role offers the opportunity to apply your extensive expertise in accounts payable operations, while demonstrating your leadership skills in supporting large, multi-regional teams.

\n

Reporting to the Associate Director Shared Services, this is a diverse and challenging role requiring a strategic approach, exceptional communication skills, a strong focus on process excellence, and a commitment to team development and organisational success. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, driving continuous improvement and delivering results.

Main responsibilities & duties:

\n

\n

\n
• \nTeam Leadership and Development: Provide strong leadership and mentorship to our Accounts Payable team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, responsibility, initiative and continuous improvement. Develop and empower team members through coaching, training, and professional development
\n
• \nStrategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement strategic plans, objectives, and initiatives for the accounts payable function, aligning with organisational goals and priorities. Drive process optimisation, automation, and innovation to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
\n
• \nOperational Oversight: Oversee all aspects of the accounts payable function, including invoice processing, remediation, supplier reconciliation, payment processing, and vendor management. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls, while mitigating risks and maximising operational effectiveness
\n
• \nPerformance Management: Establish performance metrics, benchmarks, and KPIs to evaluate team performance and productivity. Monitor and report performance against targets, analyse trends, and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve departmental objectives and deliverables
\n
• \nStakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain and Senior Leadership. Collaborate effectively to address issues, optimise processes, and drive cross-functional alignment in support of business objectives
\n
• \nProject Leadership and Change Management: Lead and participate in strategic finance projects, transformation initiatives, and system implementations. Drive change management efforts, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and ensure successful project delivery within scope, timeline, and budget
\n
• \nContinuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardisation, and automation within the accounts payable function. Implement best practices, tools, and technologies to drive operational excellence, enhance controls, and streamline workflows

About you:

\n

\n

Candidates with progressive experience in accounts payable functions, preferably in a multinational or large-scale organisation, with management experience, should have the skills and experience required for the role. We are also looking for:

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred
\n
• Expert knowledge of accounting principles, accounts payable processes, and ERP systems SAP and VIM preferable, with advanced proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel
\n
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a proven track record of building, developing, and managing high-performing teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
\n
• Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse complex issues, develop actionable insights, and execute strategic initiatives to drive business results
\n
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
\n
• Strong project management skills, with experience leading finance transformation projects, process improvements, and system implementations
\n
• Proactive, responsible mindset, results-oriented approach, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
\n
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
