Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Livermore, California. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key role in managing and streamlining accounts payable operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with other departments, handle vendor inquiries, and support the reconciliation of accounts.
Responsibilities
- Process, voucher, and post vendor invoices into the accounts payable system with precision and adherence to procedures.
- Execute weekly and monthly accounts payable payment runs, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with other departments, while addressing vendor inquiries promptly.
- Analyze and address exceptions in accounts payable processes, identifying root causes and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and clear unvouchered accounts in a timely manner through diligent research.
- Prepare and review monthly accounts payable accruals to ensure financial accuracy.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
- Strong skills in account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.
- Proficiency in invoice processing, coding, and data entry.
- Familiarity with running check payments and managing accounts payable systems.
- Ability to identify process inefficiencies and propose practical solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
