Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Description
This role is responsible for posting business transactions, processing invoices, and verifying financial data to maintain accounts payable records. The position involves providing clerical support to ensure the organization's obligations are met, maintaining meticulous records of outstanding payables, and ensuring the accuracy of financial documents for payment, auditing, and tax purposes. The role also involves protecting the business against unintentional overpayments and practicing effective monitoring to ensure timely payments to vendors.
Responsibilities
+ Post business transactions and process invoices.
+ Verify financial data for maintaining accounts payable records.
+ Provide clerical support necessary for paying organizational obligations.
+ Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables.
+ Ensure accuracy of financial documents for payment, auditing, and tax purposes.
+ Protect the business against unintentional overpayments.
+ Monitor payment processes to ensure timely vendor payments.
Essential Skills
+ Accounts payable experience.
+ Invoice processing knowledge.
+ Proficiency in accounting and invoicing.
+ Reconciliation skills.
+ Minimum of an Associate's degree in Accounting or a closely related field from an accredited, recognized university or college.
+ 2-4 years of related experience preferred.
+ Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
+ Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ SAP or other ERP system experience is very helpful.
+ Excellent time management skills.
+ Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
+ Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
