The Purpose:

The Accounting Manager at Slickdeals will oversee all aspects of accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and the integrity of financial processes. This leader will manage the accounting team, drive process improvements, and serve as a key partner in supporting Slickdeals’ growth and strategic objectives.

What You'll Do:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, payroll and cash management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all transactions.
• Prepare, review and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Responsible for the quality, accuracy and timeliness of account reconciliations.
• Manage and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Coordinate and support external audits, ensuring all documentation is complete and audit processes run smoothly.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial, tax and regulatory requirements; stay current on changes in accounting standards and legislation.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
• Prepare and present financial reports and performance metrics.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with relevant departments to support company-wide initiatives and resolve financial issues.
• Responsible for the quality, accuracy and timeliness of account reconciliations
• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested. Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
  
  

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred or eligible.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with NetSuite and advanced Excel/data analysis skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, team-building and people management abilities.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail.
• Ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks and deliver results in an ambiguity and dynamic environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Experience in e-commerce, digital media or a high-growth tech environment.

Hybrid schedule visiting our San Mateo office three days a week (Tues-Thurs).

Slickdeals Compensation, Benefits, Perks:

The expected base pay for this role is between $97,000 - $145,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Exact compensation will be discussed during the interview process and tailored to the candidate's qualifications.
