Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team in Milwaukee. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely for four days each week, with one day in the office. The ideal candidate will be CPA eligible, possess strong General Ledger (GL) experience, and have demonstrated leadership abilities in previous roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations with a focus on maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
  • Manage and execute month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
  • Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Prepare financial reports and present findings to senior management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial processes and ensure cohesive interdepartmental operations.
  • Manage audits and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.

Qualifications

  • CPA eligible.
  • Strong General Ledger (GL) experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably with leadership responsibilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
