We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and leading a team of accounting professionals. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the accurate reviewing and posting of all payables.
Balancing accounts payable daily.
Preparation, organization, and filing of all reports by the management company’s accounting policies and procedures.
Ensure that accurate and timely recording of daily outlet totals is performed properly.
Input revenues daily into revenue reports, maintain appropriate support documentation, and notify outlets when discrepancies arise.
Clear understanding and knowledge to balance daily credit card postings and reconcile settlements.
Ensure proper distribution of daily reports promptly and that all accounting reports are properly filed.
Compare POs to Invoices and ensure timely posting into the AP system for payment processing after obtaining management approvals.
Ensure that all invoices have the correct expense account codes and are signed.
Reconcile vendor's statements monthly to avoid finance charges and suspension for unpaid bills.
Keep organized and updated records for vendors.
Process all departments' Expense reports.
Audit and process AP invoices related to labor.
Assist DOF in ensuring that monthly forecasted expenses are adhered to by the department heads.
Prepare payable accruals and tax exemptions for end-of-month processing.
Review and process guest refunds.
Maintain a daily labor report for the property.
Process bi-weekly payroll on time by home office deadlines.
Assist managers and employees in resolving payroll discrepancies for employees if managers are unable to.
Maintain vendor list in Craftable.
Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
