We are looking for a senior accountant with managerial experience for an international company just outside Amsterdam, for a Manager Accounting (R2R) position. Managing two medior/senior accountants, USGAAP, 75-85k plus 10% bonus. Position for 40 hours per week, 3 days from the office and 2 days max from home. Regional scope.

This role is an integral part of the EMEA Finance Ops team. The primary responsibility is to manage a regional portfolio of R2R accountants dedicated to the financial controllership of the operating-property- and management company ledgers and legal entities across Europe under US GAAP and local statutory reporting.

Responsibility for various finance processing areas which feed into the ledgers, including Fixed Assets, Intercompany, AR, Bank & Cash, AP, VAT, etc., as well as other functional teams posting transactions in your ledgers, such as Construction Accounting, Treasury, Tax, SOX Compliance/ Internal Control, etc.

Desired profile

• Strong educational background in finance and accounting, preferably qualified accountant
• Several years’ managerial experience in similar roles, in a multi-national environment
• Solid experience of Local GAAP & US GAAP
• Real estate accounting experience & knowledge of lease accounting concepts advantageous
• Understanding & working knowledge of internal control over financial reporting, in order to be in control as a company and to be compliant in a SOX – environment
• Strong systems knowledge (ERP, preferably Oacle but not a must) and intermediate/advanced Excel skills are required
• Extensive experience at manager level, in a multi-national environment is an advantage
• Experience of developing and coaching others on a one to one basis
