Job Title: Accounting Manager
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the accounting team to ensure efficient and accurate financial operations.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and inventory accounting.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare internal financial statements and management reports for executive review.
- Assist in the coordination and filing of various tax returns, including income tax and sales & use tax, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Ensure proper recording and tracking of company assets.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Support the CFO with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with location managers to ensure accurate inventory tracking and cost controls.
- Oversee accounting systems and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Assist with accounts receivable collection and bad debt management.
- Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices to maximize early payment discounts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Industry experience in lumber, construction, wholesale, or distribution preferred.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Grimes,IA.
