What You’ll Do
As the Accounting Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the daily operations of the accounting department and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance, and effective financial management. Your leadership will guide the team and streamline processes for long-term success.
Compile and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Deliver accurate financial data to senior management on time
Establish and update accounting policies and procedures
Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
Track budget performance and analyze variances
Manage accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure efficiency
Oversee cash flow management and optimize working capital
Handle multi-state sales and use tax filings
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative environment
Manage external audits and internal control evaluations
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Leverage technology to streamline accounting processes
Ensure adherence to GAAP, SOX, and other regulatory standards
Support strategic initiatives and special projects as needed
Provide financial insights to assist with business decision-making
What You Bring
We’re looking for a strong accounting leader who can take ownership of financial operations and continue to develop in the role. Even if you don’t meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply!
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA is a plus)
At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, SOX, and internal controls
