Accounting Manager

Position Overview

The Accounting Manager will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and the implementation of sound financial practices. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and developing financial strategies that support the organizations objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and improve efficiency.
• Lead and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure professional development.
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure compliance and address any issues that arise.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for strategic decision-making.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA certification is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly in reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Experience in AR and AP management is preferred.
• Familiarity with cash management, procedures, policies, and controls is a plus.
• Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is a strong advantage.
