Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is actively seeking an experienced Accounting Manager/Controller to join their clients team. This direct hire position is an exciting opportunity for a skilled accounting professional with a passion for real estate and homebuilding. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership skills and expertise in Yardi software, while managing a dedicated team of accounting professionals. The position is full-time and based on-site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage a total of up to 9 team members.
• Utilize Yardi software, with proficiency in Appfolio and Trueline.
• Employ strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and V Lookups, to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.
• Collaborate effectively with property management teams.
• Develop and implement strategies for managing a large portfolio and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
• Foster a collaborative and family-oriented work environment, engaging with team members and appreciating the supportive company culture.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Provide leadership in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and efficiencies.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an accounting management role, with a focus on real estate or homebuilding.
• Strong experience with Yardi / Appfolio software is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and V Lookups.
• Proven track record of managing and leading a large accounting team.
• Experience in auditing and financial compliance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities.
  
  

Required Work Hours

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The company offers a generous year-end bonus that is fair, discretionary, and encompasses all levels from the bottom to the top.

Additional Details

Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 per year (flexible for the right candidate)
