Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager – Ancillary Services is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting for all ancillary service lines (pharmacy, rehab, home health, hospice and nurse practitioner companies)

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• CPA preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting
• Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite and experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred
  
  

Essential Functions:

• Record all ancillary revenue to the general ledger monthly
• Compile and distribute monthly revenue invoices to vendors for Rehab company
• Maintain sales subledger for Rehab company
• Follow up on outstanding AR for Rehab company (cash collections)
• Reconcile ancillary bank accounts monthly
• Reconcile various AR subledgers to the general ledger monthly
• Ensure proper accounting and elimination of all intercompany transactions
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
• Monitor performance against budgets and provide variance analysis
• Ensure proper coding of AP expenses
• Record monthly accrual entries for ancillary service lines
• Posting of payroll for ancillary services to general ledger
• Monthly payroll accruals for ancillary services
• Complete key factor schedules and various month end reports
• Prepare supporting documentation and respond to audit inquiries
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency in accounting operations
• Ensure the integrity of financial information by maintaining internal controls
• Work closely with all departments to support strategic initiatives and decision making
• Provide financial insights to senior management
• Additional special projects as needed including running various reports and providing data to operations team
