Description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your accounting skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The role focuses on managing refund processes, ensuring accuracy in calculations, and maintaining organized financial records.

Responsibilities

• Audit and review files for refund requests to verify completeness and accuracy.
• Calculate refund amounts based on detailed billing records and established procedures.
• Manage and update data using Microsoft Excel, including creating and maintaining spreadsheets.
• Perform data entry and document refund details within QuickBooks Online.
• Extract relevant financial data using accounting management software.
• Submit refund requests for review and approval in accordance with company protocols.
• Prepare and compile approved refund checks for signatures and ensure timely distribution.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflows and improve the efficiency of refund processes.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with other accounting software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheet creation and macros.
• Strong analytical abilities with a keen focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work independently while maintaining precision.
• Diligent approach to problem-solving and organizing financial data.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
