Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our growing finance team at a mission-driven home health care organization. This full-time, on-site position plays a vital role in supporting the daily accounting functions—especially full-cycle Accounts Payable (A/P) and cash posting.

The ideal candidate will be organized, accurate, and eager to contribute to a team that makes a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

This role reports directly to the Director of Financial Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle Accounts Payable (A/P) tasks:
• Match purchase orders (POs) to invoices
• Code invoices to appropriate accounts
• Set up A/P batches and prepare check runs
• Coordinate signatures and distribute payments
• File invoices and maintain organized records
• Provide professional vendor support, including:
• Respond to inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Post cash receipts to appropriate accounts with accuracy
• Assist with account reconciliations and general ledger entries
• Support the Director of Financial Operations with additional accounting duties as assigned
• Work within QuickBooks Online and Generations Homecare System
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
• 1+ years of accounting experience, specifically in A/P
• Familiarity with healthcare or home health industry (preferred)
• Experience with QuickBooks Online or Generations Homecare System (a plus)
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
