Summary of the Role: An accountant plays a crucial role in an organization's financial management and reporting. They are responsible for a wide range of financial tasks, ensuring that the company's financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The specific responsibilities of an accountant can vary depending on the size and type of organization. Tasks and Responsibilities: Recording Financial Transactions: Documenting all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and payments, in an organized manner. * Managing Accounts Receivable and Payable: Tracking accounts receivable and accounts payable. * Reconciliation: Ensuring that financial records match bank statements, intercompany transactions, customer transactions and other financial documents. * Financial Reporting: Preparing financial statements such as income statements and balance sheets in timely manner. Provide an overview of the company's financial health to the Financial Controller of the Trelleborg legal entity. * Tax Preparation: Assisting in the preparation of tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax regulations to local authorities. * Data Accuracy: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records to support decision-making and Group/external audits. * ERP Usage: Utilizing accounting software and spreadsheets to perform financial tasks efficiently. * Financial Analysis: Assisting Financial Controller in budgeting and providing financial insights to help the organization with financial decisions. * Communication: Collaborating with internal and external accountants, management, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial records.
