Position Overview
Ralph Lauren Asia Pacific is seeking for an accountant to handle the general accounting operations from a controlling and reporting prospective.
The responsibilities include handling our Asia Pacific entity, reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger, preparing month-end close and intercompany procedures. A successful candidate should possess excellent collaboration and analytical skills with sound knowledge of accounting principles, ensuring accuracy and efficiency for month end close.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Handle fixed assets register and balance sheet schedules and reconciliation
Bank reconciliation and follow up
Prepare month-end / year-end report and financial reporting pack
Support month-end closing process
Ensure compliance with US GAAP principles and our internal policy
Liaise with internal and external users for all the requests
Produce accurate accounting reports and present results
Support intercompany processes including billing and settlement
Attention to details and suggest ways to improve efficiency
Support financial audit
Ad hoc project assigned by management
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge
Degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or related disciplines
Minimum 3-5 years of related experience in commercial accounting field, preferably in retail industry or MNCs
Perusing HKICPA is preferred
Fluency in English & Cantonese
Proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel - understanding V-Lookup, Pivot & Functions)
Knowledge of Finance Systems – preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP system is an advantage
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to build a rapport with different business partners as well as immediate team members
Ability to work well under pressure on multiple tasks & deadlines
