Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join the Alternative Investment Partners (AIP) Finance Team within Client Investment Management Finance (IM Finance) division. This position involves a mix of traditional accounting duties and process improvement initiatives within a dynamic, high-volume environment. The successful candidate will support revenue operations, cash applications, and general ledger management across multiple business lines and legal entities, while contributing to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and identify daily cash receipts across multiple business units and legal entities, ensuring proper application to client invoices.
• Communicate billing and cash-related discrepancies promptly for resolution.
• Prepare journal entries for trade errors, GL reclassifications, interest, over/short, withdrawals, and foreign currency impacts.
• Book transactions accurately to the general ledger.
• Assist in the quarterly invoice distribution process and perform quality control reviews.
• Analyze and manage large data volumes for financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Collaborate across departments including peers, management, and other finance functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Proactively identify and implement process improvements throughout the billing and revenue cycle.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong foundation in formal accounting principles; auditing experience is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using the Bonaire Revport application is a plus.
• Familiarity with financial services or investment management industries.
• Experience in a large enterprise or corporate finance environment is preferred.
