Kforce has an outstanding growing client that is seeking to hire an Accountant (Audit and Tax) in Worcester, Massachusetts (MA). Summary: This client is an excellent growing accounting firm (less than 10 years old), and they thrive on their great company culture. Many of the clients are business owners and the firm has a very strong non-profit/mission driven clientele mix. The tax work primarily supports the business owners, their families, and related charitable entities. This client offers a great compensation package, and work/life balance. This position is hybrid, the team works together 2 days weekly in office, the remainder are work from home. Duties: * Accountant (Audit and Tax) will plan and execute financial audits including reviewing financial statements, internal controls, and compliance with regulations * Identify and assess risk associated with financial reporting * Prepare audit reports * Work with internal teams * Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and auditing standards, GAAP, IFRS * As an Accountant (Audit and Tax), you will prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns * Stay updated on tax laws and regulations, conducting research to address complex tax scenarios or inquiries from clients * Build and maintain relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent services* Bachelor's or graduate degree in Accounting * 2-5 years of recent public accounting experience * Strong understanding of (GAAP) and IFRS), familiarity with auding standards and tax regulations * Proficiency with MS Office Suite * Proficiency in preparing detailed reports and resenting findings effectively * Technical proficiency in accounting and auditing software QuickBooks CCH Profx Engagement or other industry specific tools * Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain financial concepts clearly * High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex financial data and regulations * Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, ability to work effectively in teams and interact with cross-functional departments * Fostering a positive work environment * High ethical standards and integrity, especially when handling sensitive financial information * Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of work and environment
