About The Role
The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for managing the entire sales process for mid-tier customers within their assigned region. Their focus is on prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing deals while ensuring a smooth transition for post-sale support for both print and digital collections.
The Account Manager plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction for mid-tier accounts. By effectively managing the sales process, converting leads, and building strong customer relationships, the AM ensures long-term business success and repeat business. Their collaboration with Key Account Managers and feedback to sales, product and marketing teams helps refine strategies and improve product offerings, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the organization. Additionally, the AM's ability to maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular performance reports supports informed decision-making and strategic planning.
How will you make an impact?
Sales Process Management
- Manage the full sales cycle for mid-tier accounts, including lead qualification, presentations, negotiations, and contract closure.
- Develop tailored sales strategies to meet the specific needs and challenges of mid-tier customers.
Lead Conversion: Qualify prospects and identify opportunities to convert them into paying customers.
Customer Engagement
- Build and nurture relationships with mid-tier customers to ensure long-term satisfaction and repeat business.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing questions, concerns, and objections.
Collaboration with Teams: Collaborate with the Key Account Managers (KAMs) to identify and escalate opportunities for high-value accounts that may graduate to KAM-level management.
Market Research And Feedback
- Gather insights on customer needs, competitor activity, and industry trends.
- Provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams to refine strategies and improve product offerings.
Reporting And Analytics
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline in the CRM system.
- Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to the Regional Manager or National Sales Manager.
What We Look For
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Use of AI to enhance productivity.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region as needed.
