Function: Responsible for bookkeeping and accounting duties for 40+ employee wood products manufacturing firm. Duties also include some human resources and IT functions.
Education & Training: Relevant Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, management or other relevant degree programs preferred.
Experience: 5+ years accounting experience in a manufacturing business; Pay Range: $35. - $45. / hour based on education and experience
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: MS Office especially preparing complex Excel spreadsheets; age 100 Advanced 2022 including writing custom reports using Crystal Reports; Excellent customer service skills; Ability to work well with diverse teams; Must be a self starter and take initiative; Must be flexible and able to multitask; Meets deadlines; Works accurately; Must have clean driver's license and good credit; Must be bondable/Pass background check; Good attendance is required
Duties and Responsibilities: Time card entry and payroll processing for payroll service; 401k reporting; Tax reporting and payment including payroll tax & sales tax; Lumber inventory; Manages year end physical inventory; Interacts with plant supervisors & sales team to complete reports; Month end, quarter end & year end processing & reporting; Supports outside accountants during annual review; Billing, A/R & collections Manages cash flow with CEO; Does company banking; Completes all required government reports; Maintains employee review folders; Manages and communicates employee benefits; Manages unemployment, worker's compensation & disability claims and audit; Acts ethically; Other duties as needed
Physical Demands: Sits at a desk most of the day; Must be able to walk up and down stairs; Travel to Sidney NY bank and manufacturing facility; Some bending and stooping to reach for files
