We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager Machinery for the French market. Based in France you will be the key commercial contact for this region and play a pivotal role in driving growth in the B2B packaging machinery segment. Additionally, the role involves responsibilities across other European countries, with a strong focus on market expansion and the identification of new leads and business opportunities.


As Account Manager, you will report directly to the Machinery Sales Manager and take full ownership of the sales cycle, from prospecting to ensuring customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Actively develop new business through field visits and outbound calls
  • Conduct client meetings, understand their needs, and deliver tailored presentations
  • Prepare and follow up on RFI/RFQs, quotations, and negotiations through to contract closure
  • Coordinate closely with our factories to ensure smooth project execution
  • Monitor payments and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Conduct market and competitive analyses and provide regular reporting
  • Nurture long-term relationships with existing clients while exploring new opportunities


Candidate Profile

We are looking for a motivated professional who combines technical know-how with commercial acumen.


The ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • 5–7 years of experience in international account management, preferably within FMCG
  • At least 5 years of successful experience in B2B machinery sales, preferably in the packaging industry
  • Native French speaker with fluent English;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong negotiation skills and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • A technical background (e.g. mechanical or automation engineering) or experience in machine after-sales service with commercial potential
  • High willingness to travel (as much as required)
  • Hybrid work arrangements – working from home, access to our Fougerolles offices, and occasional travel to Deurne, NL.
