Job description

Jaglax Homes, a luxury real estate and hospitality firm, seeks a highly responsible and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting functions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting. This role requires strong knowledge in accounting in the fields of hospitality and real estate, meticulous attention to detail, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.

Financial Management:

  • Oversee the accounting processes for our real estate and hospitality entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with banks for various financial activities and transactions.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • File GST, TDS, and other regulatory compliance documents accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting, monitor variances, and provide financial insights and recommendations.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Review and process expense reports, invoices, and other financial documents.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with colleagues and departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.
  • Ensure clear communication and coordination with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders.

Compliance and Audit Support:

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external financial policies and regulations.
  • Assist with audits and internal control evaluations as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with recent experience in real estae and hospitality sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Tally and MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
