Job Summary
RLG is a global provider of consultancy services for extended producer responsibility. In North America, the data services and environmental compliance team works with clients (producers) to deliver EPR assessments of their legal obligations province by province, data management, and reporting services, audit support, and technology product offerings such as our environmental compliance software. This role would be pivotal in ensuring RLG is well-positioned to bring environmental compliance and knowledge to our client base.
Key Tasks of the Account Manager include, but may not be limited to:
Account Management:
- Manage contractual requirements, billing, and service delivery to a portfolio of accounts requiring data management and reporting assistance with EPR and environmental regulations.
- Understand the requirements of client accounts, the industries they operate within, relevant EPR obligations, and regulatory requirements.
- Understand the requirements of client segments being serviced.
- Work with internal teams to develop and refine service offerings to support company growth initiatives.
- Ability to internally network and develop relationships.
- Other duties as assigned.
Customer Service:
- Build a strong working relationship with each account/ client.
- Ensure a regular and appropriate level of communication with the clients.
- Coordinate with the business development and compliance teams to ensure all data required is communicated to the client, collected, reported by the submission deadlines, and payments are planned and paid accordingly.
- Conduct audits with compliance team to understand the methodology clients are using to gather and report data.
- Identify areas for increased interaction and expanded services development.
- Provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Provide tailored training when required for clients.
- Provide support to clients when necessary.
What you Bring:
- 2-3 years of account management experience in the sustainability, environmental compliance sector, or related business field is preferred but not required.
- Customer focused approach
- Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation development skills, with the ability to understand, synthesize and communicate complex information in an appropriate tone or voice to various internal stakeholders
- Verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to draft presentations and present to external clients
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, in particular, SharePoint and PowerPoint
- Motivated and confident self-starter with the ability to accomplish goals and meet deadlines with minimal oversight
- Highly organized, efficient, and accurate
- Highly collaborative and able to manage relationships with local and international teams within a cross-functional team structure
- Competent when working independently, and within teams
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sustainability, or a related field
