The Data Centre Fabric market in Europe is expected to grow from $3B/2024 to $4.5B/2028, a CAGR between 4.6% to 8.1%. Similar significant growth figures are expected in the DC Gateway and DC Interconnect markets. AI is also expected to drive increased demand for connectivity and capacity leading to the need for new infrastructure. Forecast’s by Nokia’s Bell Labs indicate that even at moderate levels AI will represent 25% of all WAN traffic by 2030 with a 40% increase in traffic overall within the same timeframe.

Moreover, Nokia is driving a very ambitious program in Data Centres, with a full new approach to DC infrastructure and a complete dedication to address the Data Centre market. Finally, Nokia is heavily investing in a partnership ecosystem with a new dedicated organisation to support the ambition to significantly increase the volume of business achieved through indirect channels.
As a result, the NI organization is seeking a hunter sales professional to lead the development of the DC business in the UK & Ireland.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Market analysis: Build up a thorough understanding of the Data Centre market and eco-system in the UK & Ireland, quantify the market potential
- Pipeline Development: Identify concrete sales opportunities and constantly grow the sales funnel
- Sales and Revenue Growth: Drive sales opportunities and close deals within your accounts to meet order intake targets
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders to drive long-term business growth
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, product business groups and especially the partner and enterprise teams to align strategies and improve sales processes and success rates
- Reporting: Providing regular reports and updates to senior management on sales performance and market trends and ensure CRM systems are regularly and accurately updated.
Key Skills And Experience
- Proven track record of closing deals in Account Management or Sales role, preferably in the data centre, cloud, or IT infrastructure space. Hunter mindset with a never-give-up mentality.
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable subject or equivalent technology background or experience.
- 3+ years of sales specific experience in the ICT or Data Centre domain, either in the Telecom sector or in other industry sectors with heavy adoption of Telecom solutions.
- Fluency in English and an ability to integrate with multinational and cross-functional virtual teams
- Ability to develop sales stories and business cases creating value for customers
- Excellent communications skills, both orally and written with the ability to evangelize both internally and to customers
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
- Strong interest in the Cloud, ICT, Technology markets
- Enthusiasm in keeping abreast of technological and market trend as well as competitive intelligence.
