Position Overview

The Account Manager plays a key role in both customer relationship management and business development for Recovery Monitoring Solutions (RMS). This position is responsible for developing and maintaining strong partnerships with criminal justice and government agency clients, supporting program implementation and training, and identifying new business opportunities. The Account Manager will serve as the primary liaison with agency stakeholders, manage the sales process in an assigned territory, and contribute to strategic growth efforts. This role reports to the Vice President of Business Development.

Essential Functions

  • Prospect, qualify, and develop new government-agency relationships within an assigned territory.
  • Position and communicate the value of RMS’s full suite of services, including alcohol monitoring, electronic monitoring, drug testing, and treatment.
  • Represent RMS as the primary account contact for courts and agencies.
  • Work in conjunction with RMS Regional Managers to identify areas of growth or training needs.
  • Prepare and present demonstrations and trainings.
  • Represent RMS at tradeshows and conferences.
  • Brief the Vice President of Business Development weekly on territory activity, pipeline status, and strategy.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial introduction to program delivery and support.
  • Contribute to the preparation and management of RFP/government solicitation responses.
  • Assist in managing contract renewals on an annual basis.

Customer Support & Training Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging product demonstrations and training sessions to agency staff.
  • Assist in onboarding and implementation of new programs and services.
  • Provide ongoing support to assigned accounts to ensure satisfaction, effective system use, and retention.
  • Conduct follow-up training and assess ongoing client training needs.
  • Monitor and resolve customer issues, collaborating with internal teams as needed.
  • Identify and communicate potential upsell or growth opportunities.
  • Support resolution of billing-related issues for assigned accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and customer service abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in account management, business development, or project management, preferably within criminal justice or government sectors.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts, and make sound decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience with government sales, RFP processes, or public-sector contracting is a plus.
  • Travel nationwide up to 50 percent.

M-F 8a-5p, some weekend travel required
