Job Description

Physical installation and service of low voltage electronic security systems. These systems include but are not limited to: Access Control & Electronic Locking Systems, IP Cameras, Analog CCTV Cameras, VMS Systems, Security Networks (for Access Control and IP Camera communication), and Intrusion Detection Systems. Some Structured Cabling.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Installation, service, and programming of all aspects of electronic security systems
• Customer training as needed
• Provisioning a Windows-based PC or server as needed
• Daily communication and coordination with colleagues, management, and customers
• Communicate project schedules and progress to management and customers
• Communication and coordination with tech support, technical resources, and contractors
• Update project and/or service tickets daily to company management software
• Provide appropriate resolutions for service calls that include pictures and part numbers
• Manage RMA processes with various vendors and manufacturers
• Accountability: All communications transparent, clocking in and out, location tracking
• On-call rotation (one week duration)
  
  

Qualifications And Skills

• Most possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must pass drug screening and background check with the Texas Department of Public Safety
• Must pass random drug screenings
• 1+ year industry experience preferred
• 1+ year computer and networking experience preferred
• IT experience is a plus
• Certifications with DSX and Maxxess are a plus
• Basic knowledge of computers and networks (must be able to create a local network)
• Must be proficient with smart phone and laptop for communication, email, in-app ticket updates, etc.
• Strong customer communication skills
