Provide leadership for Course Tutoring within the Academic Resource Center (ARC). Oversee the operations of tutoring and related services for a diverse range of learners, from undergraduate to graduate levels, in classroom, tutorial, and workshop settings. Develop, implement, and assess programs designed to promote academic excellence and student success. This position plays a key role in shaping the direction and effectiveness of academic support services, reporting directly to the ARC Director.
Position Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities
* Lead the planning, monitoring, and evaluation of Course Tutoring activities within the ARC. Develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with institutional goals for academic success. 40%
* Oversee and manage tutoring partnerships across the campus. Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with faculty and departmental contacts to facilitate tutor selection, scheduling, and course identification. 5%
* Collaborate with the ARC Director to identify, develop, and solidify new partnerships and programs that enhance tutoring services and expand the reach of the ARC. 5%
* Lead the recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of all tutors. Provide strategic oversight and direction to ensure the delivery of high-quality tutoring services, in collaboration with campus partners. 20%
* Troubleshoot complex scheduling for Course Tutoring and provide leadership for study group related services. 10%
* Develop and manage budget projections for Course Tutoring. Oversee and approve expenditures, monitor spending, and manage payroll for student staff, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints. 5%
* Oversee the maintenance of the Course Tutoring webpage, resources, and social media. 3%
* Serve as a key representative of the ARC within the campus community. Conduct workshops, class visits, and outreach events to promote the Academic Resource Center and its services. 5%
* Continuously assess and innovate tutoring services to improve effectiveness and alignment with best practices in academic support. 5%
* Perform other high-level duties as assigned or requested, contributing to the overall success of the Academic Resource Center. 2%

Requisite Qualifications
* Typically, a master's degree or equivalent experience, preferably with a STEM background.
* Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in a related field, preferably in a college or university learning center.
* Demonstrated expertise in teaching methodologies, classroom instruction, and tutoring, with experience in program development and management.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, evidenced by the ability to prepare comprehensive reports, develop strategic plans, and effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
* Proven ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
* A strong commitment to professional development and staying current with trends, regulations, and policies related to academic support services.
