3DCP Batch Plant Operator Job description
We are a startup construction company based in the GTA, currently in the process of expanding our operations into 3D Construction Printing (3DCP), seeking a Batch Plant Operator. The candidate will be involved in training for mobilization, operation and maintenance of the printer and its supporting infrastructure. The ideal candidate for the role must have the ability to travel to site for long-term projects, and 3+ years of concrete batch plant/extruder operation and hi-rise development experience.
Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain onsite concrete batch/mixing plants, pumps, and hosing systems for the 3DCP.
Lead in the mobilization/demobilization of the 3DCP and its supporting infrastructure.
Work closely with the 3DCP operator, general support staff, and supervisors to ensure projects adhere to strict deadlines, specifications, safety protocols and building codes.
Manage and maintain the flow of concrete/mortar through a specialized pump system.
Monitor mix quality, consistency, moisture compensation accuracy by completing required tests during operation.
Coordinate daily physical moisture tests on raw materials and water samples.
Load mixer/silo using large format telehandlers and other equipment.
Manage and maintain all tools and equipment within the 3DCP process with the 3DCP Operator and support staff.
Assist project managers with all initial site visits and predelivery inspections; participate in meetings as required.
Manage onsite Health & Safety requirements; conduct regular inspections and form submittals.
Collaborate with office management and administrative teams to effectively perform duties.
Demonstrate professionalism by maintaining a high degree of integrity, ethics, and confidentiality.
Perform other duties as requested by ownership and management.
All communications via Office365, internal ERP and QBO.

Ability to travel for work in Canada and the US for duration of projects.
Organized and detail-oriented under the pressure of tight deadlines and budgets.
Effective time management and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.

Understands the importance client/B2B data and information confidentiality.

Training:
Minimum of 3 years experience of concrete mixing and onsite low/hi-rise construction required.
Advanced knowledge of maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems required.
Training and experience with mid-to-heavy machinery an asset; including cranes, excavators, telehandlers, etc.
Training and/or experience working in various trades an asset.
A valid Ontario Driver’s License required.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
