Summary

The 340B coordinator is responsible for providing oversight for the 340B program at the Methodist hospitals ensuring the programs integrity, accuracy and compliance. They will be considered the subject matter expert responsible for the ongoing compliance of drug acquisition and billing resulting in generating revenue for The Methodist Hospital.

Responsibilities

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

  • *Serves as the primary program coordinator and liaison for 340B-related matters .
  • S erves as the covered entity’s compliance expert on 340B Program details, policies, and procedures.
  • A cts as the liaison with necessary affiliated departments to ensure 340B Program integrity.
  • P r ovides oversight and leadership throughout the organization for the 340B program.
  • L eads the organization’s 340B oversight committee, which includes members from senior leadership, pharmacy, compliance, legal, and finance.
  • P r ovides expertise with the 340B Program to staff and participants regarding ongoing compliance.
  • D evelops and maintains internal relationships (accounting, legal, national) and external relationships (wholesalers, manufacturers, contract pharmacies, split-billing software vendors, employee benefit pharmacy benefits managers [PBMs], and third-party administrator [TPA] vendors) as needed.
  • A ctively engages with senior leadership and participates in decision-making processes related to the implementation of new 340B processes.
  • Performs other duties as needed and/or assigned.


Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Requiremenets)

Knowledge of pharmacy purchasing.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Health related field is Preferred OR

Pharmacy Tech License and National Pharmacy Tech Certification is Preferred

Experience

2 to 3 years experience in 340B Drug Pricing Program in Healthcare is Required.

2 to 3 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician is Preferred.

Certifications and Licensures

IN Pharmacy Technician Licensed is Required
