About The Role

We seek highly dedicated, motivated, and passionate Test engineer Intern who can use the right tools to find the best solutions to problems. We embrace the Agile methodology and as part of a scrum team you will play an important role in all aspects of product development--design, development, integration, and testing. And you will share in the pride and satisfaction as your work makes it into production at INVIDI’s clients.

The position will report directly to the Technical Manager of Software Development and will be based in our Chennai, India office.

Key Responsibilities

• Interact with development engineers to devise automation strategies, test strategies and test cases to automate new features and enhance existing functionality
• Perform code reviews for product and test code
• Testing mindset is a key success factor with a bias for automating tests
• Develop tools to automate testing of Software
• Development of test plans and procedures
• Perform software development and test automation experience in SOA environment
• Write unit test code to automatically test the key parts of the system Work closely with Developers & QA team members to review requirements, system designs and plan for both manual and automated testing
• Help investigate field issues and support production systems
• Be resourceful, flexible, and an excellent collaborator supporting the development
  
  

Our Requirements

• Has a good grasp on Python and test frameworks such as pytest, Selenium.
• Experience building integration test frameworks.
• Fundamental Understanding of Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD).
• Automated Testing (GUI and back-end), User Acceptance Testing.
• UNIX / LINUX system and writing scripts – in Bash, Perl & / or Python.
• Experience with code version systems like Git.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
  

You Must Have

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a major in STEM
• Experience in Programming languages; preferably Java and/or Python
• Interest in the telecommunications, cable, and media industries.
• Ability to work on a team.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• INVIDI is a conscious, clean, well-organized, and supportive office environment.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer are normal.
  
  

Note

• This is a fixed-term internship program. The internship will run for 1 year.
• Final candidates must successfully pass INVIDI’s background screening requirements.
• Final candidates must be legally authorized to work in India.
