2025-26 Head Coach - Girls Flag Football (Fall Season) JobID: 2044 Position Type: Athletics/Activities/Coach Date Posted: 5/7/2025 Location: Apache Junction High School Date Available: seasonal Closing Date: 05/21/2025   Additional Information: Show/Hide Apache Junction Unified School District Job Title: Girls' Flag Football Coach Department: Apache Junction High School Reports To: AJHS Athletic Director FLSA Status: Nonexempt - At Will Position Status: Fall Season - Duration of Sport Salary: Determined by sport and applicant's experience Prepared By: Human Resources Department Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Coach student-athletes in the assigned sport and promote their development. * Plan, organize, and supervise all aspects of the flag football program. * Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and the community. * Uphold high ethical standards and maintain confidentiality. * Implement and promote safe practices to reduce injuries. * Build team camaraderie through activities such as teambuilding, fundraising, and community service projects. * Attend school district and AIA meetings as directed by the Athletic Director or supervising coach. * Utilize required online platforms like MaxPreps, HUDL, and others for team management. * Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications * Completion of the NFHS online Fundamentals of Coaching course or an approved equivalent (per AIA Rule 17.1). * Completion of the NFHS online Concussion in Sports - What You Need to Know course (per AIA Rule 17.1). * Current certification in CPR and First Aid. * Ability to pass a fingerprint and background clearance check. * Strong knowledge of flag football rules, techniques, essential skills, and safety practices. * Effective communication skills with students, parents, and stakeholders. * Familiarity with AIA and Apache Junction Unified School District rules and regulations. Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years of relevant coaching experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Preference for candidates holding an Arizona Teaching Certificate or coaching experience with certified personnel. Other Information * May require work outside normal hours, including evenings and weekends. * Travel may be necessary for games, events, or other job functions. * Must utilize online platforms required for specific sports like MaxPreps, HUDL, and others Physical Demands and Work Environment The requirements listed below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the duties of this job.
