We are seeking a talented API Developer with expertise in Java development. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining APIs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient API solutions.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain high-quality APIs using Java, Python and Azure stack technologies (including Azure Functions)

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, architects, and product owners, to gather and refine API requirements

Optimize API performance, security, and scalability conducting thorough testing and debugging of APIs to ensure they meet functional and performance requirements

Document API design, functionality, and usage guidelines for internal and external developers

Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in API development and Azure technologies

Provide technical guidance and support to other developers as needed

Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.

Must have requirements:

Proven experience as a Java Developer

Strong understanding of API Development/Design

CI/CD Knowledge

Strong English communication skills

Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Nice to have requirements:

Proven experience as a Python Developer is a plus

Familiarity with event driven architectures

Familiarity with Azure services, specifically Azure API Management, Azure Functions and EventHub

Experience with other Azure services, such as Azure Synapse Analytics or Azure Storage

Familiarity with SOAP integrations

Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes;
