The events of the past year have changed everything about the way we work - from how we communicate with each other to the clothes we wear to get things done. So of course, hiring managers have had to change their questions.

The old standbys like “what is your greatest weakness” and situational “tell me about a time when you….” questions are still going to be around, but recruiters and hiring managers need to know what value you bring to the workplace of our current reality.

Even with talk of a COVID vaccine on the horizon, hiring processes may never go back to the way they were before - and definitely not within the next year.

Here are some topics and questions you may encounter in interviews this year that you haven’t seen before - and how to address them.

For the foreseeable future, work-from-home is the default for most companies. And with both employees and leadership adapting or even enjoying this system, it’s likely to continue well after it’s safe to go back to the office.
