Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to PCU patients, monitoring conditions and responding to changes in status
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, ensuring accuracy and safety
- Collaborate with licensed and unlicensed team members to develop and adjust care plans
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the medical record timely and accurately
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Uphold professional practice standards and contribute to a patient-centered, safety-focused care environment
Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia
- Relevant experience in critical care or progressive/telemetry care settings, with PCU exposure preferred
- Ability to work night shift in a 12-hour rotation (36 hours per week)
- Knowledge of Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills; ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
