Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in technical program/project management with a focus on data engineering or related fields.
• Certifications: PMP/Prince2 (mandatory), Agile/Scrum (preferred).
• Strong understanding of data engineering tools: AWS/Azure/GCP, Spark, Kafka, ETL/ELT, SQL, Python.
• Proven track record of managing end-to-end data projects (e.g., cloud migrations, data pipeline optimization).
• Experience with Big Data ecosystems (DWH, Hadoop, Airflow) and compliance standards (GDPR, CCPA).
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineers, data scientists, stakeholders).

Responsibilities

• Plan & Execute: Oversee data engineering projects (timelines, budgets, resources) using Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
• Stakeholder Alignment: Translate technical requirements into business outcomes for executives and clients.
• Risk Management: Identify bottlenecks (e.g., pipeline delays, cloud costs) and implement mitigation strategies.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure data pipelines meet scalability, reliability, and compliance standards.
• Team Leadership: Mentor engineers, resolve conflicts, and foster collaboration across remote/hybrid teams.
• Reporting: Track KPIs (e.g., deployment speed, cost savings) and present progress to stakeholders.
