What You'll Be Doing

As a member of CIBC’s Technology Architecture Governance and Standards team, will be responsible for providing advice and consultation for the governance of and end-to-end management for enterprise standards. The role provides governance based leadership, interpreting complex information of technology and cyber and operational requirements into standard requirements, with a focus on automation. The Senior Manager, Process Engineering will work closely with various architecture and technology teams to ensure governance controls operate effectively and efficiently.

How You'll Succeed

• Conducting Process and Other Assessments – Perform ongoing process reviews to identify issues early on and recommend solutions to challenges. Stay on top of best practices and industry knowledge to identify process improvements opportunities, including automation. Interpret problems and challenges shared by senior management, to lead resolution efforts.
• Understanding Regulatory, Operational Risk and Industry Best Practices – work closely with internal and external partners to assess requirements and facilitate discussions to ensure needs and governance requirements are met.
• Build strong relationships – lead discussions, listen and ask questions to assure requirements are met as documented and govern sustainability.
• Problem Solving – you can develop creative solutions and new ways of thinking about issues and opportunities.
• Automation – identify automation opportunities when you encounter them, put together the business case, and build the automation using Power Automate and Power BI
• Champion risk / compliance / governance culture – support end-to-end compliance / risk as a subject matter expert, provide guidance to a diverse team of architecture and technology professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational and process problems.
• Presenting Recommendations – Present your ideas and recommendations to senior management to obtain their buy in to execute them. Overcome resistance by persuading others of the need to transform and for continuous improvement.
• Leadership Skills – Take ownership of, and lead, transformative projects and initiatives. Proactively gather data, information, and stakeholder feedback to provide informed guidance. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support your team to resolve problems as they arise.
