Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects in the gas, oil, and civil sectors. These include powerline right-of-way work, substation grading, site remediation, and natural gas infrastructure such as high-pressure gas lines, gas distribution pipe (IHP), regulator stations, anomaly digs, and system maintenance. The Project Manager leads project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective project delivery. This role serves as a key liaison between internal teams, clients, and field operations to ensure alignment of scope, quality, and customer satisfaction. 



Key Responsibilities

·        Perform pre-qualification tasks for specified clients.

·        Analyze and interpret project plans, specifications, and detailed drawings.

·        Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and work plans.

·        Prepare scope letters, vendor solicitations, and proposals.

·        Attend pre-bid meetings and collaborate with clients and design professionals.

·        Manage procurement of materials and equipment.

·        Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure clarity and alignment.

·        Review project documents for constructability, cost control, and compliance.

·        Conduct jobsite visits and lead project meetings to monitor progress and address issues.

·        Ensure jobsite safety, quality control, and contract compliance.

·        Prepare and submit required documentation (RFIs, submittals, change orders, reports).

·        Inspect work for compliance with codes and regulations.

·        Address field challenges such as delays, emergencies, and weather-related impacts.

·        Interpret contract terms and communicate them clearly to all stakeholders.

·        Prepare and negotiate contract revisions with engineers, consultants, clients, and subcontractors.

·        Submit progress reports, budget estimates, and cost tracking documentation.

·        Ensure proper project closeout including punch list, inspections, and client hand-off.

·        Support estimating efforts during preconstruction as needed.

·        Perform additional duties as assigned by management.



Division-Specific Focus (as applicable)

·        Oil & Gas Division: Natural gas infrastructure such as high-pressure gas lines, gas distribution pipe (IHP), regulator stations, anomaly digs, and system maintenance.

·        Civil Division: Powerline right-of-way work, substation grading, and site remediation.



Required Skills and Qualifications

·        Minimum 3 years of project management experience in construction, preferably in civil or gas/oil sectors

·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam)

·        Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills

·        Ability to manage subcontractors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams

·        Skilled in reading construction drawings, permits, and specifications

·        Understanding of construction delivery methods, scheduling, and cost control

·        Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

·        Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively



Education and Certifications

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).

·        Equivalent field-based or military experience may be considered.

·        PMP Certification or equivalent (preferred).

·        OSHA 30 Certification (preferred).

·        Valid driver’s license (required)



Other Requirements

·        Ability to travel to various job sites as needed.

·        Flexibility to manage multiple projects simultaneously in different sectors.

·        Must pass mandatory drug and alcohol screenings
