Project Manager

Helios Towers is a leading independent telecommunications infrastructure company, with one of the most extensive tower portfolios across Africa and the Middle East. What we do

We build, acquire, lease-up and operate telecommunications towers that can accommodate and power the needs of multiple tenants. Our tenants are the major Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and we serve them across nine high-growth markets (8 in Africa + Oman in the Middle East). Helios Towers is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of project activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assigned projects and ensuring they are delivered within the agreed timelines and lead/manage the Projects resources (internal and contracted) to deliver projects and exceed the project success criteria.

 

Role Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will be required to:

• Project Management: Develop and implement project management processes, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Quality Control: Manage the Project Quality Plan, coordinating all project specifications, drawings, inspections, tests, and commissioning plans.
• Communication: Lead and motivate the project team, establishing a communication plan to keep all stakeholders informed of project status, risks, and opportunities.
• Risk Management: Define and manage project scope, identifying and managing risks and opportunities to achieve project success criteria.
• Sales & Operations Planning: Ensure projects in the sales pipeline are defined and planned for successful execution.
• Health & Safety: Demonstrate a proactive risk-based approach to EHS, with experience in formal training programs and on-the-job supervision.
• Resource Management: Manage materials, manpower, and subcontractors, ensuring timely and accurate scheduling in line with the project schedule.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement through structured project reviews, coaching, and mentoring the project management team.

 

Requirements for the Role

To succeed in the role, you will be/will have:

• Educated to degree level /equivalent in Project Management, Civil, Electrical Engineering or related fields.
• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in Project Management. 

Industry / Certifications and Professional Body Membership;

• Ghana Institute of Engineers, PMI and related professional bodies
