As part of the Central team, the Product Data Manager will be responsible for the integrity and maintenance of the company’s Product data. They will also be responsible for the generation of reports to support the wider organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Product Data
Working with systems provider to provide a robust PDM solution for Sylvania
Specification, monitoring and checking of rules (naming convention, structure logics, data consistency, etc.)
Maintain interfaces to web, ETIM, GS1 and other databases
Support other departments with data management activity (exception handling, data correction, introducing new functions.)
Develop in-depth knowledge of the PIM system and processes to guide Product Managers with solutions to their challenges
Work with users to keep all relationship data current
Reporting
Understand Birst BI tool and the existing datasets to generate reports for new business needs
Orderbook exceptions (BIRST BI tool)
Product Data exceptions
Functioning as a key user to provide insights and support utilization
System Administration
Maintenance of permissions (users, folders, functions) in PIM and ECM systems
User creation, deletion activity related to PIM and ECM
Administer tasks in TopDesk ticketing system
System development (as a backup)
Reporting and handling issues, system bugs with the company’s software developer team
Actively participate in bug fixes and support development tasks
Handling tickets in Atlassian JIRA, participation in the daily status review
Support the team management and actively cooperate with the developers
Testing activity related to the tickets
Database and application management
Maintain the document and folder structure of the Alfresco ECM system, checks that the company/system rules are being followed by the users
Cooperate with the external partner relation to development or bug fixes
Support users requests and report system bugs
Maintain workflow processes in Alfresco Process Services
Manage new workflow process initiatives
General
Support the design, development and build of a solid operating platform from which we can efficiently manage our factories and supply chain.
Lead Continuous Improvement projects within the group
Person specification and background
Skills
Creative, resourceful and able to think independently
Comfortable in using BI and Microsoft Office Tools e.g. Birst, Excel, ERP/MRP systems to manage data highly desirable
Proven problem solving and analytical skills, high standard of numeracy
Takes initiative to identify needs, investigate challenges, and deliver effective solutions
Education
HNC or Degree level qualification
Proven track record in data management
Knowledge of Hybris and Alfresco systems an advantage
Experience gained in the electronics industry or lighting would be an advantage
Must be an excellent problem solver and have proven practical experience.
Excellent IT skills are essential
Previous experience with system administration and/or workflow creation tasks (Alfresco Process Services, Microsoft Power Apps/Power Automate) an advantage
