Key Responsibilities: Instruction and Curriculum Implementation: Provide direct, targeted instruction during dedicated ELD blocks for intermediate elementary multilingual learners. Design, implement, and differentiate daily lessons and scaffolds that align with WIDA and state standards to support language acquisition and content mastery. Administer language proficiency assessments, including ACCESS testing and screening of incoming students, to track progress and inform instruction. Incorporate students' native languages, cultural backgrounds, and high-leverage practices to foster an inclusive and language-rich environment.Collaboration and Professional Partnership: Partner with general education teachers to analyze language demands in instructional materials and co-plan effective scaffolds. Participate actively in grade-level, MTSS, and department meetings to advocate for MLL student needs and share language development strategies.Compliance, Communication, and Advocacy: Maintain accurate student documentation, progress records, and language portfolios in compliance with state and federal regulations. Communicate regularly with families of multilingual learners regarding student progress and foster strong family-school partnerships. Collaborate with special education teachers and support staff to address the social-emotional and academic needs of dually identified students.Perform other duties as assigned.
