Summary

About the Firm:

A well-established, full-service law firm is seeking a California-licensed employment attorney with 3 to 8 years of experience to join its busy and expanding Labor & Employment (L&E) practice. The L&E group supports and collaborates with the firm's broader transactional and litigation practices and serves a diverse client base across various industries, both within California and nationwide. The team handles a wide range of employment matters — from day-to-day counseling and early dispute resolution to complex litigation, including single-plaintiff and representative actions. The firm often serves as outside general counsel and trusted advisor to its long-standing business clients.

The Role:

The ideal candidate will bring proven experience with California employment law, including handling pre-litigation matters, individual employment disputes, and class and PAGA actions. Familiarity with the full spectrum of employment claims — such as harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour issues — is essential. The role involves work in both state and federal court settings.

Key Qualifications:

  • Solid experience drafting and responding to pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions (including motions to dismiss and for summary judgment), mediation briefs, and trial documents.

  • Preparedness for and experience with depositions.

  • Strong academic credentials.

  • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Who You Are:

The firm values attorneys who are not only technically skilled but also collaborative, motivated, professional, and personable. You should be open to feedback, emotionally intelligent, and comfortable working as part of a team committed to delivering excellent service to clients. A positive attitude and strong work ethic are key.
