Full-Stack Java Developer (Long- Term Contract)

Position Overview

Our Client is seeking experienced Full-Stack Java/Web Application Developers for 12-month contract+ positions. You will remediate and enhance existing applications, focusing on application development, bug fixes, security updates, and database schema design. This role requires expertise in Java, Spring Framework, web technologies, and software development lifecycle processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop complex application enhancements incorporating custom data interfaces, security and compliance regulations, and electric industry standards
• Convert existing stand-alone solutions into CloverDX Data Services
• Develop and deploy application changes using JetBrains IntelliJ IDE, SonarQube, Nexus, and GitHub Enterprise
• Create schema alteration and bulk data load SQL scripts
• Manage production solution changes using formal change management practices
• Adhere to EMS guidelines, policies, and established work practices

Required Qualifications

• 5-10 years of full-stack development experience
• Proficiency with Java, JavaScript, HTML5, JDBC, REST and SOAP APIs, and SQL
• Experience with Git/GitHub Enterprise for source code management
• Experience with AngularJS 1.x and Bootstrap 3 or Vue3 and Bootstrap 5
• Experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot
• Knowledge of object-oriented design patterns
• Understanding of traditional, Agile, and DevOps software development methodologies
• Experience with secure software development best practices
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desired Skills

• Database programming and performance tuning expertise
• Experience with CI/CD environments/tools
• Knowledge of Apache Tomcat
• Experience with LDAP, Windows and UNIX platforms
• Familiarity with ETL tools, particularly CloverDX and OSI EITK
• Knowledge of data historians such as AVEVA PI System or eDNA
