A Brief Overview The Executive Director, US Finance, will apply accounting expertise and broad business knowledge to lead a team responsible for the accounting operations and financial analysis for the U.S. segment. The successful candidate will connect accounting concepts with broad knowledge of business and financial market topics to produce accurate financial results. What you will do * Leads the team responsible for the accounting and analysis of U.S. business unit results * Analyzes and reviews monthly financial results and identifies variances due to business, economic, and accounting drivers. * Partners with actuarial and finance teams to assesses the accounting and financial reporting impact for new transactions and provides feedback to pricing and business development teams. * Responds to requests for detailed financial information from senior leaders and other functional areas * Maintains SOX documentation and provides audit support and documentation for external, internal, and SOX audits. * Performs management duties including coaching, motivating, and developing team members. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent related work experience * 10+ years of accounting, financial analysis, or auditing experience * 4+ years management experience * Advanced Excel and intermediate Word and PowerPoint skills * Advanced knowledge of accounting/finance theory and strong broad business knowledge * Strong ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and fast-paced environment * Excellent communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey complex business terminology to a diverse audience * Advanced level of investigative, analytical and problem solving skills * Ability to work well within a team environment, participate in department/team projects and balance detail with departmental objectives * Ability to manage multiple projects and/or teams simultaneously and liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional and technical disciplines Preferred Qualifications * Master's Degree, MBA, and/or CPA * Insurance, reinsurance, or financial services industry experience * Experience with data analytics, visualization, and business intelligence tools #LI-LP1 #LI-Hybrid What you can expect from RGA: * Gain valuable knowledge from and experience with diverse, caring colleagues around the world. * Enjoy a respectful, welcoming environment that fosters individuality and encourages pioneering thought. * Join the bright and creative minds of RGA, and experience vast, endless career potential. Compensation Range: $123,500.00 - $184,050.00 Annual Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan.
