Director of Risk Management - Hospitality

Director of Risk Management to safeguard our growing
hospitality real estate portfolio, optimize insurance structures, and enhance risk mitigation across our organization.

About the Role:
As the
Director of Risk Management, you’ll lead risk strategy with a
primary focus on hospitality real estate (hotels, resorts, commercial properties), while also managing our
captive insurance program and supporting manufacturing risk initiatives. This role is critical in aligning risk management with business growth and resilience.
What You’ll Do:
- Hospitality & Real Estate Risk Leadership: Develop and execute risk strategies for property, liability, guest safety, and business interruption risks across our portfolio.
- Captive Insurance Management: Oversee operations, performance, and strategic use of our captive insurance program (prior captive experience preferred but not required).
- Insurance Program Optimization: Design and negotiate global insurance placements, balancing traditional and captive solutions.
- Claims & Contract Risk: Lead claims strategy and review contracts to minimize risk exposure in acquisitions, development, and operations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with leadership, legal, and finance to align risk strategy with business goals.
- Emerging Risk Mitigation: Proactively address risks like cybersecurity, climate resilience, and reputational exposure.
What You Bring: - 10+ years in risk management, with strong hospitality/real estate expertise (hotels, resorts, or commercial properties).
- Experience with captive insurance is a plus
- Proven skills in:
- Commercial P&C programs (hospitality focus preferred).
- Claims management and loss prevention.
- Data-driven risk analytics (Power BI, RMIS, or similar).
- Leadership experience, with the ability to influence stakeholders and develop teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, or related field; ARM, CRM, or CPCU preferred.
- Willingness to travel (up to 50%).
Nice-to-Have (Not Required):
- Manufacturing risk exposure (workers’ comp, product liability).
- Master’s degree or advanced risk certifications.
